Synchronization iPhone and iPad

I installed Drops first on my iPhone, used it several months. Just now I want use my iPad, installed the app, logged in to my account. Everything seems to be ok. But I have different amounts of words/terms on both devices = Not the same progress. What could be the problem and do you have a solution for it?
