In the lessons on ordinal numbers (first, second, third, etc) the numbers are written as 1. 2. 3. The typical way to write these in American English is 1sr, 2nd, or 3rd. A whole number to the left of a period/decimal point is just that number. 1 is the same as 1.0 which is not the same as first-1st.
